Case study

The Partner: SpaceX (Bastrop / Austin, Texas)

SpaceX needs no introduction: it’s the company redefining the boundaries of space exploration and global telecommunications. For their Texas manufacturing hub, the requirement was clear: maximum reliability, pinpoint precision, and rapid production.

The Challenge: High Volume and Zero Tolerance

The project required the implementation of a customized production line for the advanced processing of PCBs for the production of satellite antennas. The technical specifications and production objectives imposed extremely stringent standards:

  • High-precision pin insertion.
  • Taping to make the stack of the various PCBs a single element
  • Production target: 70,000 pieces per week.
  • Operational continuity to minimize machine downtime.

Our Solution

We designed, configured, and installed a fleet of state-of-the-art automated machinery at the Bastrop/Austin site. Thanks to optimized process engineering, the solution seamlessly integrated the insertion and taping phases into a single, seamless, and coordinated flow.

The Results Obtained

The machines passed stringent acceptance tests, integrating perfectly into the customer’s production ecosystem.

Key IndicatorGoal / Result
